3 Ingredient Tortillas

Yesterday, Sunday, I am proud to say that I did not do one single fucking thing all day. And for that, I am proud. I have taken a lot of time to listen to my body lately -- a freedom that I did not have when I was working full time and in school full time. I rest when I'm tired, eat when I am hungry, take my vitamins daily, and move my body as much as possible. Honestly, I am pretty sure that this is the life that was intended for humans before the birth of capitalism. I probably need to get a job soon. But anyway, here is my recipe for 3 ingredient tortillas. Being innovative in the kitchen is a real talent of mine, alongside ensuring that nothing goes to waste in my fridge. In turn, that means we end up with cool recipes like this one!

Ingredients:

2 cups Flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup cold heavy cream

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.

  2. Make a well in the center (as if you’re making pasta), and slowly pour in the heavy cream while combining with your hands.

  3. Continue to knead the dough for 3-5 minutes until the dough is no longer sticky.

  4. Make a ball and set aside for 20 minutes.

  5. Knead the dough for two more minutes and then separate into small balls, about 1.5 inch wide.

  6. Let them sit again for another 15 minutes at room temperature.

  7. When ready, roll the dough balls out individually and then fry on each side on medium heat in a mix of butter and olive oil until golden brown!

  8. Enjoy!
