Frozen Garlic Cubes
I took my time to share this recipe because I needed to REALLY make sure that it stored well. When it comes to freezer-reliant recipes, I always have a bit of hesitation because I absolutely despise recipes that call for doughs or mixtures to be frozen, and then the foods absorb the taste of the freezer. I have no other way to describe this taste, other than to compare it to the aftertaste you get from sautéing frozen vegetables.
OKAY! Very simple here. Only two ingredients, but a bit labor intensive peeling the garlic. Great for meal prep and preserving cloves that have been sitting unused for a while.
8 Heads of garlic
¼ cup water
Directions:
In a high-powered blender, combine the two ingredients on high for 3-5 minutes. We are looking for a texture that resembles a smoothie, not cottage cheese.
Pour the mixture into an ice tray with a cover.
Freeze overnight and then use generously as a base to any savory recipe!
This recipe does not require straining, just pop out and use freely.
These are the trays that I used from Amazon (I get a small commission if you use this link): HERE
